Planter - Black Coated Steel | Outdoor or Indoor Use | With Feet

We are now offering to design and make your planter or planters. To show you an example; we have posted the planter we designed for our local Ruddington Women's Institute to commemorate their 100th year. Ruddington is five miles from our business in Radcliffe-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire.

The WI were very pleased with the final product which now sits proudly outside the Ruddington library. Upon delivery, they lined and planted it immediately and had a glass of bubbles to celebrate its official unveiling ceremony - which was enjoyed by the WI and local residents.

The heavy-duty steel planter measures 1.2 metres wide and just over half a metre deep at 600mm and just under half a metre in height at 450mm tall. It sits on six feet. We suggested adjustable feet as the area outside the library is uneven. Adjustable feet allow the planter to sit on uneven ground and can be adjusted. If you have flat ground these are unnecessary and we would simply use six flat feet. We can make any size - height, width - square or rectangular. You can also opt for a plain planter or a planter with a stainless steel plaque, like the sample here. We met with the group and put together a design brief, keeping the WI up to date with ongoing designs and amends and getting final approval from them before completion. The 2mm thick stainless steel plaque has laser cut out letters, making it easy to read with the black planter behind the cut outs. 

Everything is locally made, here in Nottinghamshire. In addition to the very popular black coating, our powder coaters in Nottingham have a wide range of colours to choose from. From yellow to red to blue to black to brown etc, please choose your colour from the RAL catalogue. However, they do have a minimum run on these one-off colours, meaning they will coat your planter, but only if you have a few small or medium planters or one large planter as they have a minimum cost per colour run for economical reasons - too much time washing the colour lines for just one small planter is too costly for them. Call us if you need further information on this aspect. The plaque is brush polished by local polishers then screwed onto the planter with stainless steel off-set bolts.
