Working for yourself can be hard work but also very rewarding. When I called our latest customer and created a brief, I was initially confident I could create something wonderful. Once I began however I realised creating an ammonite and a wedding bouquet was quite challenging. Laser cutting has its own parameters; when a design comes to life, it's looks lovely, but the 'tags' have to be in the right place so that the steel doesn't fall out and the 'bridges' are strong. Creating a laser cut design takes practise and you have to work and think in the negative rather than positive. I'm so happy with the result and Peter and Lucy loved it, which makes all the hard work worthwhile.
